Kobe Bryant and LeBron James have been the two most dominant basketball players in the world over the past 12 years. Combining for an astounding seven NBA championships since the the turn of the century, these two basketball juggernauts have given the basketball world some epic battles over the years. Recently a historic moment in NBA history occurred as the Black Mamba and the King faced off for one final time.
It was a true clash of the titans as the two megastars put on a performance to remember. Late in the first half, Bryant and James put on a two-minute stretch of historic one-on-one basketball. Bryant would hit a vintage turnaround jumper, which would be immediately followed by a James dunk or jumper of his own. The matchup was so intriguing that it naturally ignited thoughts of what it may have been like had these two greats ever met up in the NBA Finals. Kobe finished with a game-high 26 points to LeBron’s 24, to officially end a rivalry that the basketball universe will truly miss.
