One of the fun parts of using Airbnb is that you see all of the unique style choices people make in their own homes. You know exactly what you’re going to get when you book a chain hotel room, and that dependability is nice sometimes. However, every once in a while we feel like taking a gamble on a one-of-a-kind house or room on Airbnb.
The Eaton House Studio in Essex, England is certainly unique. Colorful is another word you could use to describe it. The owners refer to it as a constantly evolving art piece, and we think you’ll agree that it offers an experience unlike any Holiday Inn you’ve ever stayed at.
The property has six bedrooms with 15 beds. You have to see some of the photos to really understand what the house is about though.
The master bedroom has a super king-sized bed, and a bit of a pink motif. Like all of the rooms in the house, the painters went all-in when they chose a color for this amazing bedroom.
Lest you think that pink is the only color represented in the house (and to be fair, it is definitely represented in the house), let us share a photo of the blue room. This chill-out room features a pool table and large pieces of artwork on the walls.
And there are more rooms with vibrant colors. Nearly every color of the rainbow is represented in the Eaton Studio House (though pink, purple, and red get the lion’s share of the place).
There is also a large outdoor area at the house. There’s a covered patio with a barbecue pit and plenty of bench seating all around the grounds.
As you would expect, colorful flowers adorn the property during the spring and summer. Another unique attraction of the Eaton Studio House is the free-standing saloon at the back of the property.
This Wild West themed joint has fur-covered tree stumps for bar stools. A variety of horns and antlers decorate the walls.
This area comes in handy when large groups stay at the house and the little ones need to go to bed early. The night owls can convene in the saloon and not worry about making too much noise.
The Eaton Studio House is perfect for family reunions (for eccentric families of course) and bachelorette parties. The house does not come with male strippers, though they can be arranged.
Now, here’s a bit of bad news. The house costs $2,606 per night plus a $130 cleaning fee. You will have an album’s worth of colorful photographs by the end of your stay, though.
Like many of the houses on Airbnb, we’re mostly just fantasizing about renting the Eaton Studio House. If nothing else, we like to sneak a peek into houses around the world and see the decorative choices people make.
These houses present a tempting alternative to staying in yet another chain hotel with the same layout and the same amenities as every other hotel room. Someday we hope to go to this colorful house, but until then, we’ll keep sharing photos with you.
