The majority of snake species aren’t venomous, however, the species that are poisonous tend to strike fear in people everywhere. One venomous species, known as the Russell’s viper, is typically found in Southeast Asia and is responsible for thousands of fatalities each year. Because of this, researchers wanted to see what would happen when one drop of the viper’s potent venom was added to a human blood sample. What they discovered is both frightening and fascinating—you have to see it to believe it!
