After their “very real” (they don’t have a marriage license) and “very sponsored” wedding in July, Jake Paul, 22, and Tana Mongeau, 21, have been back in the news. It’s hard to believe this couple could stir up any more drama, but alas, here we are.
Jake recently revealed intimate details about his marriage, saying that their relationship is open and that he wouldn’t mind inviting Noah Cyrus, 19, to be in a threesome. We couldn’t make this stuff up if we tried!
Jake appeared on ET Live on Sept. 16, and the interview was pretty wild from start to finish. He started off by saying sweet things about Tana.
“The way she thinks is beautiful, and she teaches me a lot about emotion,” he gushed.
He also reiterated that their relationship is real, even though it’s not technically official, and he defended their choice not to get a marriage license.
“I think it happened so fast because we just wanted to do everything so fast, and I don’t think being married on paper is the same thing as just being married in general,” Jake explained. “I don’t think a paper means you’re married.”

Super sweet, right? Well, he also gave a more pragmatic reason for foregoing legal formalities.
“I don’t think [we’ll ever get a marriage license],” he said. “Because we’re probably gonna get divorced eventually.”
Ouch. To double down on giving us reason to doubt the realness of Jana, he followed up that fatalistic take on his marriage with dishing on how Noah, Miley Cyrus’s younger sister and singer in her own right, has been interested in Tana for a while now.
“I think Noah’s wanting to hook up with Tana,” he admitted. “Even since the start of the relationship—which is why I think it’s funny that, like, Nikita [Dragun] gets all butt hurt online—since the start of our relationship, it’s been, like, an open type of thing because that’s just how we both are.”
Jake calling out Nikita for inserting herself into the drama references a comment she left on one of Tana’s Instagram pics. First, Jake posted a photo of himself surrounded by other girls, which Tana seemingly did not take very kindly to. She edited her face over all the girls in the picture and reposted it on her Instagram, and, as only Jake Paul would think to do, Jake commented, “I wish there were clones of u so we could have 3somes.”
Nikita jumped into the situation and clapped back fast by replying, “I wish you could be faithful and appreciate the woman that’s keeping u relevant.”

That comment seems pretty scathing, but Jake was unbothered. “She can say whatever she wants. It’s just an IG comment,” he told ET.
While he dismissed Nikita pretty easily, he continued to support the idea of Noah and Tana getting together.
“I think Noah’s the one pushing that narrative, which I think is dope,” Jake said. He also repeated that he would have no issue with his wife sleeping with Noah, “especially if [he] could be there.”
“Goddamn girl, where you at?” he said, referring to Noah.
Noah and Tana leaned into the rumors and posted videos of themselves hanging out together on Instagram, and they seemed pretty flirty. Noah even licked Tana at one point and claimed she tasted like Skittles. Um, cute? We guess?
In a quick escalation, Noah added, “Jake, I’m gonna f*** your b****,” which seems a little forward, to say the least. He, however, seemed into it and simply replied by reposting one of the videos and captioned it, “God damn.”
This hangout was a long time coming. In May of this year, Tana made a video explaining how her ex Lil Xan had cheated on her, and how Noah—who dated Lil Xan after Tana and went through her own messy breakup with the rapper in 2018—disliked her.

Which brings us to their hangout. The well-documented hang seemed to tease Jake and everyone wondering if Noah and Tana were more than friends. But now we know Jake’s cool with it, whatever it is. We’ll see how this complicated web of maybe-they-are-maybe-they-aren’ts pans out.
Following In Her Sister’s Footsteps?
There are some interesting parallels between Noah’s situation with Tana and Jake and her older sister Miley’s recent escapades. In early August, Miley separated from her husband of less than a year, Liam Hemsworth.
“Ever evolving, changing as partners and individuals, they have decided this is what’s best while they both focus on themselves and careers,” a rep for Miley said in response to news of the breakup. “They still remain dedicated parents to all of their animals they share while lovingly taking this time apart.”
Around the same time, Kaitlynn Carter announced her split from her husband of four years, Brody Jenner. Interestingly, it recently came out that in spite of their 2018 ceremony in Indonesia, the two were never legally married. Sound familiar?

Miley, Liam, Kaitlynn, and Brody were all reportedly friends before their respective breakups. “The four of them have spent time together in Malibu. Brody and Liam are both into surfing and are friends,” a source told Entertainment Tonight.
Nearly at the same time they were announcing their breakups, Miley and Kaitlynn were photographed kissing during their vacation together in Lake Como, Italy. The pictures showed the pair getting cozy by the pool at the Il Sereno Hotel, wearing bikinis, and showing plenty of PDA.
A source told Entertainment Tonight at the time that Miley and Kaitlynn were “not trying to hide” their affection for each other. Sounds a lot like Noah and Tana’s very public Instagram stories.

As for Kaitlynn and Miley, apparently they’re both still friends with Brody and have “no drama” with him, according to an insider for Page Six. Does that remind anyone of Jake’s support for Tana and Noah?
On the other hand, Brody’s friend and The Hills: New Beginnings co-star, Brandon Lee, thought Miley and Kaitlynn’s PDA was just “messing with their two ex-husbands.”

Brandon’s allegation that Miley and Kaitlynn’s relationship is fake seemed to be disproven when a source revealed to People that Kaitlynn and Miley are living together.
“Miley is doing great. She is moving on,” the insider said. “She seems to have no regrets. She loves being with Kaitlynn.”

Further evidence of their real relationship came recently when Miley shared photos of herself rocking some dark shades, a fuzzy hat, and a revealing open button-down on Instagram. Kaitlynn left a comment that seems to confirm that they’re the real deal. “Dear god,” Kaitlynn wrote, including a drooling face emoji.
And, during The Hills finale, Kaitlynn implied that her marriage with Brody was an open relationship…much like Jana. In response to questions about Brody having slept with other women, Kaitlynn said, “Not without me being involved, okay? Everything with me and Brody is under my control, let’s put it that way.”

She also added, “There’s not one part of our relationship that I’m ashamed of or that I would do differently. I just think that the world isn’t necessarily ready to hear about all that. Not everybody is so open-minded or accepting of other people. But as long as what we’re doing is working for us, that’s the most important thing.”
Sure seems like the Cyrus sisters found equally open-minded partners, and we’ll see if either relationship stands the test of time.
