Stephen Hall was supposed to take Natalie Weaver, 23, out for the evening.
Unfortunately, Stephen missed their dinner—along with most of the day. He’d been out with his friends for an entire all-nighter, so when he returned to his apartment, he was ready for a full 12 hours of sleep.
That meant that he slept right through his date with Natalie, leaving his girlfriend looking for something to do.
Well, that was a big mistake. Weaver decided that she was going to spend time with Hall, regardless of whether or not he was conscious. She pulled out her makeup kit, and for the next three-plus hours, she covered her boyfriend’s face with mascara, eyeliner, foundation, and lipstick, showing off some pretty impressive makeup skills while getting some unbelievable revenge.
“I wanted to spend some time with him…He was so tired from having no sleep he was falling asleep at every blink,” she told The Metro. “I was really bored so I got revenge.”
“He woke himself up with the long nails and he had half opened his eyes in the mirror. He didn’t think it was himself at first. He was just shocked and asking what’s happened. I tried to convince him he had come home like that.”
That was a hard sell, however—especially when Hall realized that he had a full set of gorgeously made-up fingernails.
“There was a lot of laughing, but he wasn’t angry. He is a lot of fun but I think he’ll think twice before doing this again. I’m surprised he slept through all of the laughing. I was in absolute hysterics. It was crazy.”
“It was quite a big night,” Hall said. “We were supposed to spend time together the next day and go out somewhere. I was so tired I couldn’t open my eyes.”
Was he annoyed by his girlfriend’s creative revenge?
“I was just shocked,” said Hall. “I wasn’t angry. I just kind of laughed about it. I was more annoyed when I gave myself a scratch at 4 a.m. with the nails. I was very confused. I didn’t know if it was a dream.
“I wasn’t even bothered I just wanted to go back to sleep until the panic started to kick in that I had to go to work with these nails on. I had to rip them off, it was very painful.With that said, he wasn’t too angry with the results.
“I thought I looked alright though,” Hall added.
Hall hasn’t contemplated revenge, but he also realizes that he was in the wrong.
While Hall seems to be a good sport, he did note that most of their arguments aren’t resolved in this manner.
“I’m surprised she reacted like this,” Hall said. “She normally gives me the silent treatment and we have a massive [fight]. This is a nice way to deal with it.”
As soon as Weaver posted photos of her efforts on social media, the couple went viral; hopefully, their next argument ends in similar “fashion”, if you know what we mean.
